Andy the man
Andy is battle-hardened and in the groove. This might be the edge to turn over Djokovic. Anyway I will not believe he is "Number One" until he can beat Djokovic two times out of three.

Re: Andy the man
Honestly Buster, it does make up for West Ham's depressing defeat. Of course I would like us to win every game, having supported the club through thick and thin since about 1964.
But when I compare our overpaid, oversensitive, overhyped yet only moderately talented football players with the likes of Murray, who has worked his socks off to eliminate his own weaknessses and to make the national team a world force, I have to say that I was more pleased to see him win the "world title" and no.1 spot, than I was upset to see us lose to Tottenham. And Spurs for me have always been the opponents to beat.

Re: Andy the man
What's great about Murray is that he has seriously worked on his weaknesses over the years. Once upon a time he had little strength and stamina and now he is probably the fittest tennis player out there. Delighted that he has made number one although I think he would have done it far earlier if he had a second serve!

Re: Andy the man
He is so brilliant and keeping the No 1 spot is credit to him .

His sweat tinged baseball cap I think could play with more effort than Zaza for us.

Surely the knighthood is in the post? A real credit and inspiration to the country.

As you say, the fucking footballers will be forgotten and they fucking deserve it. When all the golfers were pulling out of the Olympics because of the Zika virus (golfer speak for 'I'm not getting paid') Andy showed them the way by giving EVERYTHING for that gold medal for NO MONEY

Top bloke, wish we had more sportsmen like him.

Re: Andy the man
I might be wrong and I haven't checked this but he has beat Djokovic 2 out of 3 hasn't he?

Beat him tonight lost in the French Open final but didn't Murray beat him in Rome or one of the other clay finals prior to the French!

He's earned it that's for sure some of the matches this week have been epic!

Well played SON!

Re: Andy the man
Maybe Murray is just making Novak look average?

He is the world number 1 after all.

Come on Andy, serve it all and gain your place in history.

Re: Andy the man
Best of 3.

So, unless he's hopeless as WHU at keeping a lead, he's won it. Djokovic playing like turd, looks beaten, but Murray can only beat what's in front of him.
